Visiting Yellowstone part 5.

Today, we toured the Lamar Valley on the lookout for animals, and we found them! We just started driving into the park from the west entrance and spotted two Sandhill cranes and a chick next to the crane on the left. It looks like a fuzzy, rusted spot.

Next is a coyote den with a coyote pup and two baby badgers.

Always choose a photographer if you need a person in your shot to show a sense of scale; they never move when taking their shot. Yes, those are bison spread out along the grassy plane and river.

The following photos tell a great story. We spotted a coyote with a huge belly, and it’s too late in the season for pregnancies. Then we spotted a Pronghorn. The Pronghorn sees the coyote and charges, running and jumping on it. It turns out a Pronghorn lost a baby to a coyote the day before, and Mama went John Wich on this coyote, who ran away.

I saw a ground squirrel while eating lunch at a picnic table.

The last animal spotting was a mama black bear walking with her two cubs.
