Ice Dog

The photo was taken on Diamond Beach in Iceland, it’s the southern region of Iceland and is right next to Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon.  The land between the Glacier-created lake and the Ocean was eroded and now the icebergs that break from the Glacier float down a channel into the Atlantic Ocean.  The smaller (between rocks and a small car) icebergs get washed onto the shore vs heading out to sea.  During the Sunrise the light hits the ice and shines like a diamond, hence the name.  The icebergs litter the black pebble beach year-round and some of them create some abstract shapes and other look like ice sculptures like this one.
