Sitting on top of Mauna Kea watching the Sun as it sets below a sea of clouds. Mauna Kea is 13,803 ft, or 4,207.3 m, above sea level which makes it the highest point in the Island of Hawaii. If you measure it from the base, at the seafloor, its tallest mountain in the world, measuring 33,500 ft (10,200 m) in height. In Hawaiian religion the peaks of the island of Hawaii are sacred, so tread carefully.
